Introducing Ms. Hess

Introducing Ms. Hess

By Eliza Sullivan

Talawanda students may have noticed a few new faces in the building this year. Tribune is interviewing four new staff members to help students get to know them. Today’s interview is with our new assistant principal, Ms. Hess.

Ms Hess graduated from Bowling Green with a degree in integrated math education for grades 7-12 and from the University of Cincinnati with a masters in educational leadership. She has been a math teacher and an educational consultant in nearby school districts.

Hess decided to come to Talawanda this year because the district was similar to her own highschool growing up and was reminiscent of home. She described her experience at Talawanda so far as “amazing” and said that everyone has been very welcoming. Her goals for this year are to get to know the students and staff and to build on all the great things we’ve already implemented. She wants to continue our positive school culture and help students see the positives in the district, despite everything that’s going on.
