Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA Attends Farm Science Review
London Ohio– On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 members of Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA attended the Farm Science Review. The event teaches people of all ages about the new and improved advances of technology in the agriculture industry. It also teaches younger individuals the importance of our agriculture industry, land preservation and how to farm in different ways that can help our environment as well as our ecosystem.
“It brings the industry of agriculture together and gives the amazing opportunity for future agriculturalists to see what is happening in Ohio’s #1 industry,” says Ryan Matthews, Ohio State’s FFA President.
“I came on this trip to see what Farm Science Review is all about and how it teaches us about our agriculture industry and to also meet new people from other FFA chapters around Ohio,” says Keira Mckinney, Chapter Greenhand Reporter.
The event is like a fair with different presentations, exhibits and demonstrations. Some of the topics that Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA learned about are wetland, grain quality and farming production technology.
Currently Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA has a beef judging team at the Beef Expo in Milwaukee for National Competition.
