Andy Mineo at The Underground in Cincinnati

mineoAndy Mineo performed at The Underground in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday October 24, 2015.

Performing music from his latest album, Uncomfortable, as well as a few tracks from older albums, Mineo put on an energetic performance. He rode a hoverboard on stage and even had a fog gun which he pointed at the crowd during “You Can’t Stop Me,” a song Mineo performed from Neverland a previous album. The crowd sang along cheerfully to each song as if they were features on the track.

Throughout the course of the show Mineo had a stand out prop, a large two-screen cube centered on the stage, that displayed videos connected to the music. At one point during the show Mineo performed  the song “Love” while images from his wedding ceremony played on the cube.

Mineo is a faith-based rapper from New York and got his start when he was in high school. He started rapping jokes, then realized he was pretty good and wanted to pursue a career in music. Mineo is now signed to Reach Records. Since then, he has put out four albums and has collaborated on records of Lecrae, Trip Lee and many more.

Mineo greatly encourages the 1:16 movement. A Biblical scripture from Romans 1:16 stating, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel.” He encourages everyone to be unashamed of Christ.

Mineo’s last tour stop will be Sunday November 15, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.
