Breaking Dawn: The Anticipation

The Twilight Saga franchise has made billions of dollars worldwide, and the anticipation of Breaking Dawn Part 2 doesn’t look like its going to break the streak.

Fans have been purchasing tickets months in advance for now sold out midnight showings.
Breaking Dawn Part 1, directed by Bill Condon, made $72 million dollars on just the opening Friday night. Will Part 2 live up to the outcome of Part 1?

In some theaters, the first showing is at 10pm because more people ordered more tickets for the midnight showing than was anticipated. The official Twilight Twitter account and online website have been counting down the days, hours, and minutes until the premiere. Award shows, like the MTV music awards, have been showing sneak peeks of the new movie getting the fans excited for the opening night.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the second half of the concluding movie in this series. Bella is now a vampire and gives birth to her and Edward’s half human-half vampire child. Along with adjusting to their new lives as a family together, conflicts arise with the head vampires and they must fight for their right to keep their daughter.

Each one of The Twilight Saga movies has been a box office hit in the previous years. New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn Part 1 are all on the Top 100 chart of box office record breakers.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is expected to be the biggest of the five movie franchise. For the fans, it’s heartbreaking that the story is finally coming to an end.
