In 2013, the fifth entry in the Grand Theft Auto series was released to commercial and critical acclaim. Grand Theft Auto V is considered THE fastest-selling entertainment product of all time. Selling 11 million copies in 24 hours. It is also considered the most profitable video game, making over $1 BILLION every single year, but you might be asking if playing GTA V in 2023 is worth it (especially with GTA VI around the corner)?

 

Grand Theft Auto V takes place in 2013 in Los Santos. GTA V is unique in the fact that it has 3 playable protagonists. Each with their personality, goals, and ideals. You first meet Franklin: a former gangster who is trying to make it big in the criminal underworld. Then you meet Micheal: a reformed bank robber who faked his death to escape the US government, but has to go back into crime to protect his family. Finally, you meet Trevor: a sociopathic murderer and Micheal’s old partner.

 

If you’re waiting for GTA 6 to release. Grand Theft Auto V will satisfy your craving. With its story, dynamic characters, excellent writing, groundbreaking gameplay, and so much more. Grand Theft Auto V is one of the best video games I’ve ever played.
