Honestly, I was shocked I got so many right. Tonight I learned I should watch the Banshees of Inisherin, I haven’t ever heard of it but clearly, it’s good if it won that many Golden Globes. I feel like Brendan Fraser was absolutely snubbed for his role in The Whale. I get that Elvis was a hit and Austin Butler did well, but Fraser’s acting sent chills down my spine, it was incredible. I was pleasantly surprised by how many awards Abbott Elementary and its actors won. Finally, I have never been more shocked than I was when the winner of Best Original Song was announced. I had never heard of the song that won, but when the competition was Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and RIHANNA?!?! And none of the 3 biggest female pop stars ever won? That’s astonishing to me. I was sure Rihanna would win. Lift Me Up was perfect for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and deserved better. Luckily Angela Bassett won, so that makes up for it. Overall, the fashion was below average, the humor rarely made the cut, and some of the results were shocking. Let’s hope the other award shows step it up, and Brendan Fraser gets what he deserves.
