Late To The Party: Memento

You know everything he knows, and you see everything he sees. I give Memento a 10/10. One of my favorite movies of all time. The movie is incredibly satisfying to watch and people still argue about what the ending means.

Memento is a genius movie that makes you feel like you’re investigating a crime with the main character, Leonard Shelby. Shelby is an insurance investigator, but his main goal is to find who found out who murdered his wife. There’s one problem, he can’t make new memories, so he keeps track of his progress based on notes and tattoos all over his body. The actual film is shown to the audience in reverse. The end of the movie takes place before the other scenes in the movie (much like this review).

Before Christopher Nolen became an Oscar-award-winning director, his first big movie was one you might not have heard of. Memento made $40 million at the box office, far surpassing its $9 million budget. Memento was nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.
