Do What Makes You Happy
OXFORD — Do you really know where you want to go though? And do you know how expensive it is to simply apply? And not only that, but you have to pay to send your ACT score to that specific school. Nothing about this process is cheap or simple.
So far I have submitted my application to Wright State, University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Ohio Northern University. All of these colleges have their own pros and cons. I’ve gotten acceptance letters from all but UC so far. UC is my first choice, so I’m hoping for a good outcome. Once I know if I’m accepted here, moving forward will hopefully be much easier.
UC is my first choice for a couple of reasons. It’s close for one. If you would have asked me a couple months ago, I would have told you there was no doubt I was going far. Once college becomes something that is coming up quick, you get more stressed, and staying close sounds much better. The cost of UC is also much more ideal than the other colleges. Coming out of college with a bunch of debt isn’t something I really wanna have to worry about. So as far as expenses and distance, UC is perfect.
Although, a lot goes into picking where you want to spend the next, who knows how many, years of your life. That’s a huge deal. Some of the colleges you apply to, you may already know or even have an idea of who you want your roommate to be. But on the other hand, you might really love a college but are unsure because you want to room with someone you know, and like.
The last thing I need is to have a horrible roommate.
I’m still unsure as to what I want to do. I’m kinda wondering if I’ll ever figure it out. So many people try to tell you what you can and cannot do. You mention one thing, and they will immediately hit you with negative comments.
Right now, I’m just trying to figure out what will make me happy.
