Homecoming Proposals

This Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 is the THS homecoming dance. We had students share their homecoming proposals with the Tribune, and included in our story are four of our very own Tribune members, Austin, Dylan, and Mary Kate. Madi also got asked, but didn’t have a picture to share in the article.

Austin, a junior at THS, and Talawanda Tribune member, asked Miklaye to homecoming. He asked using a sign that read “Flowers are the 2nd most beautiful thing in the world, and I want to go with the 1st.” And of course gave her flowers. She said yes!

Here we have Dylan, another Talawanda Tribune member and THS senior, asking Hannah. His sign read “Can’t U C us @ Hoco?” The “c’s” being the Cincinnati Bearcats logo. She also said yes. Congrats!

Ben asked Molly (Also known as our Sophomore Representatives for Homecoming this year) by buying her Starbucks with “homecoming” written on the cup, and flowers.

Ben asked Mary Kate to homecoming by using a bucket filled with candy, with “hoco” written on it. We don’t have the original picture of the two, so we made them recreate the moment with Ben asking Mary Kate by writing “hoco?” on Dr. Weatherwax’s board. Madi says no, but Mary Kate said yes anyway.
