Key Club Inspires Through Service
Key club is a service group, sort of a next level of middle school Builder’s Club. The adult version of Key Club is the Kiwanis Club. Key Club does service projects around the community with the mission to provide: its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership” (Kiwanis International). Key Club at THS is advised by Science teacher Drew Ruther who says that the club “really benefits the community and the students by giving them leadership qualities.” Ruther is inspired by members because they give their time, money, and resources to help their elders. The THS Key Club Open House will be Sept. 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in room 423. Meetings will be held Mondays after school also in room 423.
