When you walk into a fast food restaurant you can immediately smell hamburgers, fries and maybe even chicken nuggets. Wendy’s, McDonald’s and Chick Fil-A are among the top-selling restaurants for chicken nuggets in the United States. However, customers aren’t concerned with who sells the most nuggets in the country, they want to know which nugget is the yummiest.
In terms of statistics, Wendy’s nuggets aren’t like McDonalds: the batter is crumbly rather than flakey. The ten piece can only be purchased with fries and a drink, making this meal the most expensive out of these three at $5.99. These nuggets are great when they’re dipped in a chocolate frosty ($.99). The frosty provides the perfect match of sweet and smooth with the chewiness and the taste of the nugget. If you don’t want to dip them in a frosty, you can choose from buttermilk ranch, sweet and sour, honey mustard, barbecue and of course ketchup. These look and taste like traditional chicken nuggets: juicy in the middle and crunchy on the outside.
McDonald’s 10-piece chicken nuggets cost $4.29. These McNuggets® are delicious. The taste of the chicken nugget is perfectly juicy and tender to give you the perfect taste. You can tell these nuggets are fried because the better is so flaky. You can get creamy ranch, hot habanero, honey mustard, spicy buffalo, sweet ‘n sour, tangy barbecue or a honey sauce to compliment your chicken nuggets. The most moderate sauce besides ketchup is the tangy barbecue. If you choose to dip your tender chicken nuggets into this, you get a pretty good mix between tangy and salty. If you want some delicious fries this is the place to go though.
Chick Fil-A is the most bought. The eight piece is $3.85 and the size of the individual nuggets are very small. They are very good and filling for how small they are. These actually taste like real chicken. The batter is amazing, you can tell that it is fried but it’s not overly fried. With these you can get your original sauces and Chick Fil-A’s signature sauces such as avocado lime ranch and the Chick Fil-A sauce. You cannot get these nuggets without the Chick Fil-A sauce, it would just be wrong. The Chick Fil-A sauce has some tanginess from mustard and sweetness from barbecue. It pulls together the taste of the chicken nugget, you kind of get a party in your mouth. Chick Fil-A is a good way to eat chicken nuggets without as many calories as McDonalds or Wendys.
Overall, the Chick Fil-A nuggets were the best tasting, not the most fulfilling, though. McDonald’s chicken nuggets filled you up the most, as long as you have a drink. Wendy’s prices are worth it because you get fries and a drink, their french fries are pretty good too. Chick Fil-A was very filling as well, they were just smaller so they just seemed like they wouldn’t fill you up as much. It kind of felt like a mind game to get you to buy more. Wendy’s and McDonald’s didn’t seem to do, that they make their chicken nuggets like traditional chicken nuggets. Round and tender, not too small and delicious.
