The “Sweet Seven” Eating Outdoors
Eating lunch outside, a privilege reserved for seniors, was popular when the weather was nice and sunny. As the weather got cooler, most of the seniors moved to eat indoors. Still eating outside are the The Sweet Seven: seven senior guys competing in a game of “who will last the longest” eating outside.
The Sweet Seven are Justin Brown, Ethan Crist, Tameer Bakkar, Zane Marsh, Tanner Eck, Warwick Reider and Jonathan Abshire. They have been eating outdoors ever since the beginning of the school year. “We all sat at the same table outside when it was warm,” said Brown. “Then one day I said ‘Hey, let´s eat outside the whole year!’” continued Eck.
The rules of the game, created by Marsh and Brown, state that whoever goes inside first has to buy the other members of the group two cookies each and wear leggings for an entire school day. The majority of the group believe that Bakkar, who moved here from Spain, will be the one to cave first. “Tameer is used to warmer places,” explained Brown. The only one who disagrees with this prediction is Bakkar himself. “I will definitely prove them wrong!” he said.
The members of “The Sweet Seven” play the game for different reasons. “These are my friends, and without friends what do you have?” said Abshire. The guys were also promised a picture in the yearbook by Mr. Zimmerman.
The days are getting colder. It is only a matter of time until there will only be six chairs placed outside the during B-lunch. But who will be the one to cave first?
Well done my Finnish friend. The Spaniard will definitely cave first. The world had better be prepared to see him in leggings.
