Pep Assembly Leaves Students Fired Up
As students filed into the brand new THS gym to kick off fall athletics, they were greeted by band members and cheerleaders performing the school fight song.
“It was pretty effective in getting students excited,” said assembly MC and THS Spanish teacher Nate Silberstien. “I got a lot of comments from staff that it went well.”
Band member Madeline Marston said she thought the pep assembly was a success. “The pep rally was super fun because it’s a nice break from all the serious work we do on our show, and we love just being able to play our fun stuff.” said Marston. “The people feed off our energy, and then we feed back of theirs.”
The assembly also included a tug-of-war between students and teachers. It started off with the seniors in the lead, and then the teachers beat the seniors in the final round.
Overall, the pep assembly left students excited for all of the fall sports, especially the football game that happened later on that night.
