Fatal Stabbing of 15-year-old in Fairfield

In Fairfield, Ohio on Monday morning around 9:00, Vicky Fible called in a missing persons report. Her daughter, Chelsea Johnson, had been missing since Sunday afternoon and Fible became increasingly concerned as her calls to her daughter went unanswered.
On Sunday Johnson went to an Ameristop owned by a man named Muo Safi. He stated that she walked into the store around 12:30 with a boy he only knows by the name of “Tim”. Safi said that “Tim” only bought a phone card and that Johnson didn’t buy anything and acted normal.
Fible said that when she got home Sunday evening, the neighbor, whom Johnson went to Ameristop with, was sitting on her couch. Tim Childs, a neighbor of Fible’s, appeared concerned. Johnson was no where to be seen, and Fible couldn’t reach her by the phone. Fible also stated that Childs told her Johnson had gone to the store and would be back.
The following day when Fible spoke to Childs, he stated that Johnson had gone down to the nearby creek to fish the previous day. Johnson was found roughly nine hours after the report was made behind an apartment building by the creek about two miles away from her home. The autopsy shows that Johnson was fatally stabed.
Police Cheif Michael Dicky believes that Johnson knew her attacker. Dicky said that because she was stabbed, it shows that it was a personal crime. That also leads Dicky to believe that Johnson knew her attacker. No arrests have been made so far concerning a suspect.
There was an event made on Facebook concerning a candle lit vigil for Johnson. The event is for today, Friday April 20, and is at 8:00 p.m. It’s located at the former Lincoln Elementary School.
Visitations will be held from 10:30 to 12:30 with the funeral service immediately following at Fairfield West Baptist Church.
