In-House CCP and More: What to Know About Next School Year at Talawanda
The 2025-2026 school year may seem like a distant thought, but with this year’s second semester well underway, it’s already time to start planning and preparing for the next academic year. Throughout the next few weeks, Talawanda students will be receiving scheduling forms and will have the chance to speak to their counselors to sort through any questions as next year’s plans come together. This year, each student at every grade level will prepare for their personalized schedule on a specific date over the course of the next few weeks: :
- 11th Graders will receive forms in class on Monday February 3rd, and will discuss schedules in the PAC on Friday February 14th.
- 10th Graders will receive forms in class on Monday February 10th, and will discuss schedules in the PAC on Friday February 21st.
- 9th Grade will receive forms in class on Tuesday February 18th, and will discuss schedules in the PAC on Friday February 28th.
- Incoming 9th graders (current 8th graders) will receive forms in class on March 5th, and schedule at TMS on March 14th.
Honors/AP application forms and other additional applications are due for all students on Tuesday, February 26th. These forms are available for students in the guidance office.
When students receive their scheduling forms, some things may look different than expected. Talawanda is offering many new courses next year, and this also means that some former offerings will no longer be available. The most notable change? Talawanda students will notice an exponential expansion in the availability of in-house CCP classes. Many current Advanced Placement® courses will be replaced by their CCP counterparts, with many stand-alone college courses being introduced, as well. These courses will be taught at Talawanda’s campus, either online or by a Talawanda teacher. These CCP courses will be provided by Cincinnati State and will be transferable for college credit at any public university in the state of Ohio, granted the student receives a passing grade. . The list of all new courses available starting the 2025-2026 school year is provided below with a brief description of their contents—and its length is shocking.
