Senior Reflections in its 15th Year

Screen Shot 2016-05-24 at 10.50.10 AMOn Wednesday, May 25, seniors at Talawanda High School will come together for a picnic to reflect on their experiences in high school.

“It is a time to have fun,” said Marc Tincher, the organizer of the event. “You can reflect on your High School career and have a good time while doing it.” Seniors can take part in activities such as wiffleball, volleyball, frisbee, and cornhole while enjoying free hotdogs and hamburgers that will be grilled and served.

Tincher said Reflections started about 15 years ago, when he started to organize and watch over the event. “We just want them to have overall happiness as we send them off to the rest of their lives,” he said.

“We did it when I was in high school”, said Guidance Counselor, Savannah Schwegman. “It’s a fun way to wish the seniors luck for the rest of their lives.” Schwegman went to Talawanda and said her Senior Reflection was at the Oxford Tri in 2008.

The class of 2016 will have their Senior Reflections on Wednesday, May 25 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Peffer Park in Oxford.
