If you aren’t familiar with the Hitman series, then you should highly consider picking up the first installment of the Hitman series,  Hitman: Codename 47. (Released in 2000)Then proceed to buying Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, Hitman: Blood Money just so you can get the latest addition to the wonderful series, Hitman: Absolution.

Hitman: Absolution, in my opinion, is the best of the series to come out, ever. That’s saying something strong, because all of the Hitman games are amazing.

Absolution really utilizes the whole stealth aspect of gaming that the series is known for. You can sneak right under the noses of guards. You can also silently take a guard or janitor out and take his clothes, allowing you to gain access into off limit zones. If you walk by other guards, you better hope you have intuition.

Intuition is a new ability. It allows you to hide your face by rubbing it, when people get suspicious. It also lets you see enemies through walls but you run out of intuition as you use it.

You regain it as you cause distractions. You can make car or fire alarms go off, so maybe guards will leave their post and you can gain access to the guarded place.

In the prior games, no one really noticed if you were in disguise, which is the cool thing about Absolution. It adds excitement to the missions.

You also get something called point shooting. It uses intuition. It allows you to take out four or five targets at once by slowing down time and letting you take aim on your enemies, head shots should be aimed for.

If you assassinate a foe, you better hope you’re near a dumpster, a closet or a balcony, because if you leave bodies laying around people will get suspicious.

You have the choice of running and gunning through the levels, but it’s advised to play through the game in a furtive manner. So you should crouch behind walls and sneak past guards. Maybe steal a disguise or two.

Making your target’s death look accidental is an option you have, plus it makes you more money. In the level,  “Shaving Lenny, part one”, you can make a broke down car on a lift inside of a car garage fall on top of your target. You just have to wait for him to go underneath it. It makes it look like an accident. Or you can place sleeping pills into a pizza and wait for your target to eat it.  Then, when he goes up to his room to sleep, you take him out.

Absolution was worth every penny that I spent, and worth all of the hours that I spent playing it. It’s always fun and it keeps you on your toes.

In the Hitman series, you play as a character named, Agent 47, A clone-assassin for hire.  He’s bald and has a barcode on the back of his head.  The barcode lists his date of creation and identification number 640509-040147. The barcode identifies him amongst the other clones. 47 is the name that identifies him, so that’s what people call him.  say something about how he is referred to as “47” for short. Yeah, 47 was born in a test tube. The clones are genetically-enhanced.  They’re faster, stronger and smarter.

He’s known for his exquisite black suit with a blood red tie. 47 doesn’t leave his hide out without his fiber wire or Silverballers.

47 escapes from the facility that he was created in.  After a year of freedom, he starts working for ICA, International Contract Agency. After multiple hits 47 wants to quit, he instead finds faith in a Catholic church on the Sicilian countryside  working as a humble gardener.  Soon after his pastor Father Vittorio was kidnapped by mafia don, Giuseppe Guillani, 47 resumed work as a hitman to rescue Vittorio.

If you have a computer, Xbox or Playstation 3, I suggest that you go out and purchase and play this game. Unlock new disguises, and weapons and hit a way!
