Opinion: Ashley Curtner Reviews “Breaking Dawn Part 2”

The Twilight Saga has done it yet again, creating another ground breaking, life changing, heart racing, love twisting movie that many fans adore.

Unlike the other Twilight Saga movies, this last one focuses more on the upcoming war the Cullens are preparing for, rather than the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob.

In the previous movies, a big part of the overall set up was to express the challenges Belle is being put through, What I enjoyed about the other movies is they left you questioning the decision she was going to make. She clearly loves Edward, but she also still has deep feelings for Jacob through the series.
Something that caught me by surprise is the new focus point Breaking Dawn 2 expresses throughout the entire movie.  The main focus is no longer on the love triangle, but more on the upcoming war, and keeping Reismee (Bella’s daughter) safe.
Watching the film was intriguing. I really enjoyed all the international vampires coming together and taking a stand against the Volturi. The Volturi is the main vampires in charge, in a government perspective.  The idea behind this is to prove Renesmee’s human mortality and not the crime of a newborn vampire was created.
The best part, was the ending. It was shocking, and completely mind blowing, many people in the theater were shouting in anger. I admit, I was upset as well, just to find out everything works out for the better. It was a life changing experience.
Even though the film was very interesting and had many fans hooked, some things could have been portrayed differently. One major thing is the fact that Alice and Jasper are  absent almost the entire movie. Alice has been a huge part of the movie with her close friendship with Charlie and Bella.
Another thing that should have been stressed is how Bella had to lie and completely forget about Charlie, and how he was dealing with the lack of his only daughter. The movie also never mentioned her mother once. Unlike the previous movies where she would always call and check up.
Overall, fans rate this movie as a must see. I loved this movie, despite the few weakness that occurred. The movie was interesting and intriguing from beginning to end. Personally, the series could not have ended in a better way then the blood thrashing battle
