Bunbury Music Festival comes to Cincinnati

This summer, Cincinnati concertgoers will have a new attraction to look forward to, with the Bunbury Music Festival making its debut July 13th – 15th.  The festival is being held between Sawyers Point and Yeatman’s Cove on the riverfront in Cincinnati, and features bands such as Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, Death Cab for Cutie, Passion Pit, Motion City Soundtrack, Manchester Orchestra, Guided by Voices, Ra Ra Riot, Grouplove, and more.  In addition to offering music, the festival will be lined with vendors selling eco-friendly products.

Three day festival passes are available for $93, with single day passes being sold for $46.  Bill Donabedian, a former managing director of Fountain Square and one of the co-founders of the Midpoint Music Festival, owns Bunbury Media, the company staging the festival.

According to the festivals website, “To Bunbury, or to go bunburying, is to have a made up excuse to get out of doing something boring.   [The festival] a great excuse to get out of whatever you don’t want to do.”
